Since the founding of the msd mission, our neighboring country Italy has held a special place in our hearts. What began in the 1960s with relief efforts and evangelism has continued to develop steadily over the decades. Our vision has remained the same: to support and encourage missionary projects, churches, and key individuals on the ground.

We look to Italy with joy and recognize that God is moving something – in society, in churches, and especially among young people. In recent months, we have witnessed this in Rome, Milan, Bari, Sicily, and Tuscany. Our missionary work, the Change Camps, plays a central role in our Italian network. Last year, many new doors opened, creating valuable synergies:

• BNE Rome: Our discipleship summer program.
• Reshaped: A growing youth movement.
• Eden Musica: A brand new Italian worship community.
• IBEI: The Bible school in Rome where Silvio’s parents have been involved for over 30 years.

We are in regular contact with these projects, actively support them, and work together to find ways to build God’s kingdom in a sustainable way.
There is already a lot on the agenda for 2026: various camps, 40 days of BlessNations Experience, new song recordings, and much more. We are excited to see what God will do! Because we know that we depend on God’s power, we have been meeting regularly for specific prayer for Italy in Thun for the past six months. We firmly believe that prayer has great power!
