On March 21, we celebrated the first IMPACT DAY—a special day as part of our Change Camps ministry. Leaders, friends, and sponsors of msd and Change Camps came together to encounter God, experience fellowship, and receive fresh inspiration for their daily lives.

In recent years, this event was called “Leaders Vision Day” and was primarily aimed at our volunteer leaders. Last year, however, we felt a growing desire to open the day up not only to leaders, but also to their youth groups and friends. How valuable would it be if even more people could benefit from these insights—not just for the camps, but also in their daily lives, to make a positive difference there?

Thus, IMPACT DAY became an event supported by the entire msd team. Around 60 people gathered to experience a day centered on God. Through worship, moving testimonies from leaders and participants, and inspiring messages, God’s work became evident. The fellowship during the shared lunch was also marked by encouragement and genuine connection. At the same time, it was a day when we, as staff members, were strengthened and encouraged ourselves.

A special highlight was the teaching on discipleship. It became clear how central this topic is to our lives as Christians: to remain learners ourselves while simultaneously taking others by the hand. The key verse from 2 Timothy 2:2 summed up this principle—a life that passes on what it has received.

Dabei wurde auch das biblische Beispiel von Barnabas und Paulus aufgegriffen. Barnabas investierte in Paulus, förderte ihn und ebnete ihm Wege. Während wir heute viel über Paulus wissen, bleibt Barnabas oft im Hintergrund. Und doch wird genau darin ein kraftvolles Prinzip sichtbar: in Menschen zu investieren, ohne selbst im Mittelpunkt stehen zu müssen. Mit Freude weiterzugeben, was Gott uns anvertraut hat.

Dieser Tag hat uns neu ermutigt, in Bewegung zu bleiben. Immer wieder Gott zu fragen: «Wem darf ich das weitergeben, was ich selbst empfangen habe?» und offen zu sein für die Menschen, die Er uns anvertraut.

Besonders inspirierend war es, von Stefan und Susanne von Rüti  (Gründer des ISTL) zu hören, wie Jüngerschaft praktisch und über viele Jahre hinweg gelebt werden kann – mit einem Herzen, das auch in Leitungsverantwortung den Einzelnen nie aus den Augen verliert.

Der IMPACT DAY hat uns daran erinnert: Veränderung beginnt oft im Kleinen – im treuen Investieren in einzelne Menschen. Genau darin liegt eine Kraft, die weit über einen einzelnen Tag hinaus wirkt. Und genau das ist auch die Vision von uns als msd: mit Menschen und mit Gott verbunden zu sein und dabei erfüllt von Gott weitergeben zu dürfen.
