News from the Bible Study Class

In July 2024, the first discipleship booklet was published, introducing a new, more personal format for Bible studies. Now, two years later, the second booklet is nearly complete and will be presented in this article.

The goal of the second booklet was to cover a specific topic for which there had been very few suitable materials available until now. The following vision was developed for the booklet: It is intended to speak to the younger generation—a generation that doesn’t really know Jesus but has a keen interest in him. These are people who are open-minded and have received a Bible, whether through street outreach or from friends. They are often left feeling at a loss: “Where should I start reading?” “What does this mean for me?” This uncertainty often leads them to not read the Bible at all, or only briefly. As a result, they miss out on an encounter with Jesus, who has transformed our lives. This is exactly where the booklet comes in. Jesus invites us: “Come and see!” (John 1:39), and that is precisely what the booklet aims to encourage.

The target audience consists of people who are interested in Jesus but do not yet know Him through the biblical texts. It is designed to help them get to know His works in a simple way. The booklet guides them step by step, highlighting interesting passages and periods in Jesus’ life. A highlight is the four points from “THE FOUR,” which are used in the booklet to make the Gospel understandable. The booklet uses targeted questions, reflections, prayers, and practical steps that lead to Jesus. For these things are written in the Bible so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that through faith we may have life in his name (John 20:31).

I hope that you, dear reader, will take a moment to think: Who comes to mind right now? Who needs this kind of help to get started reading the Bible?
