Last Tuesday, I had the opportunity to present the new discipleship booklet *Knowing God Means Living*, created in collaboration with TheFour, at TheFour’s office in Zurich. As part of TheFour team’s monthly “Bearers of Hope” outreach, I was able to share the vision behind the booklet and how it can be used. The booklet is ideal for this kind of outreach and can help people who have had little contact with the Bible so far find a good starting point for reading it. Many people have questions about God, Jesus, and the meaning of life. Sometimes all they need is a simple starting point to discover for themselves what the Bible has to say. For the harvest is plentiful (Matthew 9:37a).

After the presentation, we got started right away. Under the theme “Who Is Jesus Really?,” we set out through Zurich’s Altstetten neighborhood. It was wonderful to see how we were able to walk along the routes we had prepared. To get things started, we used encouraging Bible verses that passersby could pull out of jars. Some people were very happy to receive the Street Bible and the accompanying booklet. This is how the best message in the world was shared in Zurich. The booklet was developed precisely for situations like this. It’s not meant to be just another book gathering dust on a shelf, but rather to help people open the Bible themselves and get to know Jesus better.
