Since early November 2025, I have been doing my internship at msd and HelpNet. The msd mission organization and HelpNet are both located in the same building. This makes it very easy for us to work together. I’m excited to give you a little glimpse into my work.

My week always starts with a morning at HelpNet. There, I get to prepare the lesson for Tuesday’s German class. In addition, there’s an open conversation group on Monday mornings where I get to practice various everyday topics in German with a small group.
On Tuesday mornings, the big German class meets at HelpNet. I get to teach a small class there. I enjoy supporting these people and helping them learn German—it’s a real privilege for me. I love interacting with people from different countries and cultures.
From Tuesday afternoon through Friday, I’m mainly at the msd, where my responsibilities couldn’t be more varied.
On Wednesdays, my tasks mainly involve office work, such as writing blog posts, checking and editing lists, and pitching in hands-on when it comes to helping parents with childcare or keeping the premises clean.
To help structure things a bit better, we like to use a list where every staff member can note down tasks for me, which I can then carry out.
Thursday goes on in much the same way, and I get to teach two more German literacy classes.
On Fridays, I mainly help out with camp activities. There, I get to help prepare, organize, and coordinate everything.
It is a tremendous privilege for me to be part of a team like this, where everyone shares the same goal: to lead people to Jesus and to his loving, fatherly heart. I find our morning prayer times—when we take time each morning to focus on God and bring all our concerns to him—to be consistently powerful, encouraging, and deeply unifying.
